The apostle Paul in discussing the ministry of believers uses the term “ambassadors” for Christ. Generally speaking, an ambassador is an official acting as a representative of a nation, and sent to a foreign land. The ambassador’s role is to reflect the official position of the sovereignty that sent him. Paul likens his own calling to that of an ambassador, and he urges all Christians to consider themselves ambassadors for Christ. Didn’t know you were an ambassador? After today’s teaching, there will be no doubt.
